Benjie will be part of the 2024 Austin Latinx New Play Festival. He is the music director for a workshop for Jesse J. Sanchez’s “ZAPATA: A Folklorico Superhero Musical”.

Benjamin is the collaborative pianist for Austin Cantorum in Sparks of Genius – a celebration of the human creative spirit as we honor historical discoveries and eureka moments of invention through the evolution of choral music. He plays solo piano for works by Meredith Monk, Ulysses Key, and John Kameel Farah.

Benjie joins the Inversion family of ensembles in a concert at the stunning Austin Central Public Library. This evening will feature new music from different cultures around the world that revolves around topics such as the various stages of life, community, diaspora, leaving, coming home, and belonging. The concert will be conducted by Artistic Director Trevor Shaw and Da Capo Director Katrina Saporsantos.

Benjie is the collaborative pianist for Inversion Nova’s second ever concert featuring music about bugs and critters featuring world premiere compositions by founding composers Trevor F. Shaw, Adrienne Inglis, and Robbie LaBanca.

Benjie performs with soprano Katrina Saporsantos and trumpet player Kenken Gorder in Don’t Blink! featuring the music of Michael Flynn, Susan Kander, Steven Sérpa, and others.

Benjie’s arrangement of Aurora will be presented by Inversion and Density512 in a concert called The Björk Songbook.
